Toxic or Sustainable?
The highly expensive decision to face the truth about the environmental impacts of our industry resulted in a drastic re-focussing of the Arch Shelter brand towards inclusions that are non-toxic and will not end up in landfill for 1000s of years generating microplastics.
Sizes from 6 - 27 meters wide, fabric domes are mounted upon sea containers to produce an easy to relocate shade or Containers fire safe steel walls ideal for many work sites plus a secure lock up store for tools, equipment, materials and parts.
Industrial Tents (and Pavilions) are the BIG structures of the industry. These Structures can be as No frills to Prestige as your Budget permits. Aluminium Tents are available up to 100 m wide whereas Steel Pavilions are engineered to any size.
We were keen to introduce these potentially huge structures, but Covid came along to prevent a launch then after further research gradually became concerned about their structural safety and toxic hazards posed by their PVC fabric!
Hull Roof Arch Shelters are an ideal roof shape for the windy nature of Melbourne. Wind slips smoothly across the canopy with the least amount of drag. Fabric is cooler than metal and hot air rises up to the apex. Shelters stays cooler in Summer and Warmer in Winter.
Fabric Domes can be Ground Shelters i.e. placed on ground, or mounted upon posts/frames between 1-6 meters high. Domes can be Fabric Shade Tunnels or fully enclosed Fabric Buildings. Perfect for any industry as relocatable hangers, sheds warehouses and amenities.
We were delighted to find these lovely Arch Shelters in Europe on the eve of Covid which could be up to 40 meters wide. Unfortunately they never made their way down under and we lost touch with the creators, but we do have a very good local alternative.
Fabric Arch Shelters are engineered, locality rated, industrial strength Fabric Buildings and Shade Structures. They have been used by many industries in Victoria, particularly the rural, equestrian, mining, earth moving, rail, aviation, sports and construction industries for almost three (3) decades.
Arch Shelters are either engineered in Australia, or from international sources that can measure up to Australian & New Zealand Building Codes. Fabrics available include Australian, Korean, US and European PE (or green house shade cloth upon request) with locally manufactured or imported Steel or Aluminium frames.
Arch Shelters have always been a brilliant solution for many Victorian Industries. Fabric roofs are cooler and airier in Summer and warmer in Winter compared to most other fully tin or steel options, so delightful to work and play beneath. Arch Shelters can also be enclosed with engineered end walls and doors (PA Rollers Hydraulic etc.).
